Lactation Education

Feeding your baby is natural — but that doesn't mean it comes easily. Warm, practical, judgement-free feeding education to help you feel prepared and supported.

What is lactation education?

Feeding support that meets you where you are

Breastfeeding, combination feeding, expressing, bottle feeding — there is no single right way, and most mothers have questions along the way. Lactation education with Ibiza is a supportive, informed space to learn how feeding works, what to expect, and how to build confidence in the early days and weeks.

Ibiza is a Certified Doula and Lactation Educator, trained through a dedicated lactation course. Her role is educational and supportive — she helps you understand feeding, positioning, and what is normal, and helps you know when something needs a clinical eye.

What we can cover together
Preparing for feeding before baby arrives

Preparing before baby arrives

How milk supply works, what the first days look like, and how to set yourself up so the early feeds feel less daunting.

Comfortable latch and positioning education

Latch & positioning

Practical, hands-on education on comfortable positioning and what a good latch looks and feels like — and what to adjust if it doesn't.

Support through the early weeks of feeding

What's normal in the early weeks

Feeding frequency, cluster feeding, and the rhythms of the first weeks — so you know what to expect and when to relax.

A calm, reassuring moment between mother and baby

Confidence & reassurance

A calm, judgement-free space to ask anything, however small, and to feel supported in the feeding choices that are right for you.

Knowing when to seek clinical feeding support

When feeding needs a clinical assessment

Some feeding challenges need clinical care rather than education — for example a suspected tongue-tie, mastitis, ongoing pain, or concerns about your baby's weight or intake. In those situations Ibiza will encourage you to see an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), your midwife, health visitor, or doctor. Lactation education supports and prepares you; it does not replace clinical care.
