What is doula support?

You were never meant to do this alone

A doula is a trained birth companion — not a medical professional, but something equally valuable. Someone who knows birth deeply, who stays with you through every stage, and whose only job is to support you physically, emotionally, and practically.

Ibiza has sat beside mothers in birth rooms across the UAE — in Dubai and Abu Dhabi — and in Brazil, and has supported births virtually as far as the USA. She has witnessed birth firsthand, and knows that the presence of a calm, knowledgeable companion changes everything — for the mother, for the partner, and for the experience itself.

Doula support is not about having a perfect birth. It is about feeling held, informed, and never alone — whatever unfolds.

Where Ibiza works

In-person doula support is available in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. Virtual doula sessions — prenatal planning, birth preparation, and postpartum check-ins — are available globally via video call.

Prenatal sessions

Three sessions before your due date — one on the psychophysiology of labour, one to build your birth plan, and one on feeding your baby, with a brief look at the early postpartum days.

Continuous birth support

Ibiza joins you at the onset of active labour and stays with you until your baby is born — providing physical comfort, emotional reassurance, and helping your birth partner advocate for you, so your voice is always heard.

Postpartum follow-up

A dedicated visit in the days after birth to check on your recovery, your feeding journey, and your emotional wellbeing. The fourth trimester matters just as much.

On-call availability

From 37 weeks, Ibiza is on-call for you. Questions at midnight, uncertainty about whether labour has started, a moment of fear — she is there.

Your birth partner is guided too. Ibiza helps them understand what is happening at every stage and shows them how to be most useful and present for you.
